John Nickles is a multi-disciplinary artist who works in the media of music, writing, design, photography and sculpture. He has been pushing the envelope, seeking purchase and pursuing the path in Brooklyn for more than 50 years.
A professional songwriter with over 20 years of experience, writing and performing, his songs have garnered heavy airplay at over 150 college radio stations, charting in the top 30 at over 30 US college stations. His band, Mint, was chosen as the A&R pick of the May 2000 CMJ New Music Report and his most recent record, 'Not Alone', is probably still playing on college stations across North America.
John is a BMI writer writing songs infrequently when the spirit moves him. He is a former member of: The Songwriter's Hall of Fame, The Nashville Songwriter's Association, The Songwriter's Guild of America, The New York Songwriter's Collective & The Musician's Union Local 802 and still loves Cole Porter.
